SONNY LAMSON
Pianist, Keyboardist, Traveler
Until recently, the world was getting smaller and smaller. One could start a journey in Los Angeles, have dinner, watch a movie, sleep a little and end up in Hong Kong a few hours later. But lately it actually seems to get bigger. The recent events make some destinations unreachable. Therefore, one way to keep the travel going is through music. We invite you to take trips with us with a pianist and composer whose music keeps being influenced by the numerous countries, cultures and landscapes visited throughout his entire life.
ABOUT SONNY LAMSON

Born in Belgium, Sonny Lamson grew up surrounded by music legends such as Stan Getz, Chet Baker, Paco de Lucia, Ray Charles to name a few. It was Chet Baker who taught him his first jazz standard, Black Orpheus (Manha de Carnaval)...He also recalls the day he first heard a CD when a friend introduced him to Rachmaninoff's piano concerto #3 in D minor. All this led him to start studying piano at the Gretry Music Academy in Liège, then later on at the Liège Royal Conservatory and much later at Berklee College Of Music in Boston where he made the Dean's list for academic performance.
